The Official Turkish Statistical Institute "Turk Stat" last report showed a significance rise of 129.6% in the foreign real estate purchase in Turkey during August 2018 compared to the same period last year, recording of 3,866-unit sales.
According to published data on Wednesday,
the number of housing units sold to foreigners has increased more than 3,000
units during the last month.
The report added that sales of residential
units for foreigners increased by 42.6% since the beginning of the year until
the end of last month, registering 18,540 housing units.
Istanbul came the top city in terms of the
number of sold properties with 1141 units, followed by Antalya with 675 units, Bursa
with 307 units, followed by Ankara and Yalova.
As for the buyers' nationalities, the Iraqis came first with 3,515 housing units since the beginning of this year, Iranians ranked second with 1,659 units, followed by the Saudis with 1.180 units and Russians with 1.048 units.
