Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said
that "the new Istanbul airport is a great service we provide to our region
and the world and not to our country alone."
The Istanbul airport was inaugurated on
Monday at the opening ceremony of the new airport in the city, where it was
announced that Istanbul Airport was named the largest airport in the world at
the completion of all stages.
Erdogan added: "Istanbul airport will
be a pride for our country with its architecture, construction, operation and
financing, and a model project in the world."
He pointed out that the government is
looking forward to ending all stages of Istanbul airport by 2028.
He added: "I address all our friends
in our region and the world .. Come to build a safe and secure future for all
of us."
