The
Turkish lira continues its rise against the US dollar following the
presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey last Sunday ended with the
victory of Recep Tayyip Erdogan where his AK Party won the majority in
parliament.
Next
morning after the elections, the value of the dollar has fallen against the
Turkish lira, continuing until Friday morning by 0.3% to reach 4.5710 Turkish
liras.
During
Thursday's trading, the value of the dollar fell by 0.76% to reach 4.5854
Turkish lira.
According
to Turkish experts and politicians, the rise of the local currency, caused by
the environment of stability and lack of ambiguity in the country as a result
of the recent elections.
Similarly,
the euro recorded a 1.5% drop in the past few days, reaching 5.3055 where the
pound sterling at 1.6% by 6.1070 Turkish liras.
Prior
to the recent elections, the Turkish lira witnessed a sharp fall against the
dollar, with one dollar exceeding 4.90 Turkish liras.
